Beautiful Rock Castle Resorts - Lake George, New York

Rock Castle is rich in tradition and has always brought friends and family together to enjoy the beautiful Adirondacks in Lake George. In the mid and late 1800’s, the property was owned by the Peabody Family, and later in the 1920’s the Rock Castle was a summer residence for the renowned New York Times Publisher A.S. Ochs. The property also served as a meeting place for painters, nature lovers, and many intellectuals. In the 1960 the Vittorio family owned and operated the property as Hearthstone Lodge. In later years the Hess Corporation used the property as a corporate retreat. In early 1980’s Dr. George Baaklini, and Dr. Alex Baaklini purchased the property and operated Rock Castle as a resort and summer spot for family and friends to gather and enjoy themselves. This tradition continues today.
